20th Century Fox to Make Movie Based on Atari's 'Missile Command'

Don't ask us why, but 20th Century Fox is reportedly planning to make a movie based on Atari's 'Missile Command.' Yes, that 'Missile Command.' The 1980s arcade game that doesn't any involve any characters, any plot, or anything else that makes good material for a movie.

According to Variety, screenwriters Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama will be charged with the unenviable task of creating a compelling script out of absolutely nothing, after having just finished writing screenplays for the remake of 'Flash Gordon,' and 'Dracula Year Zero.' It's unclear which direction Sharpless and Sazama will take, but, at this point, it looks like all roads lead to Terrible.
