Groupon Finally Lists Its First Geeky Wedding 'Deal'

In many ways, Groupon's rise to Web prominence has been typical, considering the expected appearances of early chaos, wacky promotional campaigns and lucrative business propositions. Like so many other trendy, prosperous sites -- particularly of the social networking and media variety -- Groupon has now hosted a geeky wedding proposal, titled, "A Surprise for a Dana from a Greg."

In typical whimsical Groupon fashion, the online marital overture features an abundance of cutesy vows and endearments, like Greg's promise "to always eat the disgusting bacon from [Dana's] plate." ("Disgusting" bacon? That's not a deal-breaker?) But, the "Deal" also involves a few stipulations. Groupon, which warns that "either party may develop snoring problem," is officially "entitled to no less than 15-percent" of the ensuing "marital bliss." Despite those bliss payment requirements, Dana accepted the marriage bid.
